You can substitute wheat flour for regular flour when making homemade pancakes with orange raspberry syrup.  Also, you might have to adjust the amount of milk you use.  For healthy homemade pancakes, use wheat flour instead of regular bleached flour.  

You can make these homemade pancakes without milk and substitute them with Almond Milk or water.  Use a mix of all-purpose and whole wheat flour, using buttermilk instead of regular milk and letting the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking.

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen raspberries

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup almond or regular milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (BUY HERE)

  • ½ teaspoon aluminum free baking powder (BUY HERE)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  1. Combine the raspberries, brown sugar, orange juice, and Orange/Tangerine oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.

  1. Cook for 5–7 minutes or until raspberries break down, and sugar is dissolved; remove from heat
  2. To remove the seeds, strain through a fine-mesh strainer and press on the mixture.
  3. Place the sauce in the refrigerator while preparing the pancakes
  4. In a big bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt and slowly whisk. Set aside.
  5. In a different bowl (smaller bowl), add the egg and melted butter and mix well. Add milk slowly until the mixture looks smooth and looks as one. Combine the mixture with your dry ingredients and stir together.
  6. Preheat a nonstick griddle to 375° F. I like to add a little bit of butter. Cook pancakes of your preferred size (1/4 cup)  on both sides until golden brown and bubbles form.
  7. Serve with chilled raspberry-orange syrup.
Tips:  Garnish with a handful of fresh raspberries and some confectioners sugar
***Use organic when possible

To spruce up, your homemade pancakes, sprinkle some blueberries on them and use maple syrup instead of making your syrup.
