Essential Oils For Pain Relief

First, you should always use “therapeutic grade,” or 100% pure oils without additives like alcohol and perfumes, and select only those in dark bottles and light-degraded oils over time.   Use your favorite diffuser to diffuse Lavender, Chamomile, or Bergamot to reduce stress and help you sleep.

  • Mix 15 drops of essential oils, such as Lavender, Chamomile, or Eucalyptus – pick one or all
  • One z. (2 Tbsp.) of a “carrier oil” or neutral oil, such as almond, avocado, or jojoba

Bergamot And Lavender For Pain:

Soothing Bath Or Use Aromatically
  • Blend five drops of Bergamot and six drops of Lavender (BUY HERE)
  • 1 TBSP milk or vegetable oil and add it to a bath (BUY HERE)
  • Optional: 1 cup Epsom salt (BUY HERE)

OR

Aromatherapy

  • Mix 15 to 20 drops 
  • 1 ounce of jojoba or almond oil 
  • To Use: dab on your wrists or massage into the skin

Ginger For Pain Or Nausea

Essential Oil Recipes For Pain
  • Mix 10 to 15 drops of ginger and orange essential oils
  • 1 ounce of jojoba or almond oil; 
  • Use massage directly on the skin.

Motion Sickness Or Nausea

  • Mix 2 drops of Ginger
  • 1 t  p. Of jojoba or carrier oil of choice
  • To Use:  Apply directly behind the ear and, down the jawline & to the inside of the wrists

Lavender For Restful  Sleep

  • Add 4 drops of Lavender essential oil to a diffuser

OR

  • Spritz your sheets and pillow with an aromatherapy spray.
  • Mix 3 ounces of distilled water with 35 to 50 drops of Lavender essential oil in a spray bottle.
  • To Use: shake before each use

Citrus For Mood

Lemon scent can lift your mood, according to a study in Psychoneuroendocrinology, and another study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine showed that people who received sweet orange Aromatherapy had less anxiety and stress during a high-pressure cognitive test than those who didn't.

To Use:  

  • Place several drops on a tissue or cotton ball and stash it in a zip-top bag to smell throughout the day.
  • Use a Lava Rock
