Supplies and Ingredients Needed
Homemade cleaning products do the job like this DIY garbage disposal freshener! They work, are non toxic, and cost a fraction of the price of what you get at the store.
- 2 – 1 Quart (1 L) Spray Bottles – good heavy-duty ones, or amber glass bottles
- 1 Shaker Jar with holes in the lid – you can use a mason jar or an old jar
- ¼ c. (60 mL) Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap – you can use whichever scent you prefer
- 2 c. (480 mL) White Vinegar
- 1 qt. + 2 c. (1 L + 480 mL) Distilled or Boiled Water (cold) – I prefer to use distilled water in my diffusers, deodorizing sprays, and all-purpose cleaners
- 2 c. (500 g) Baking Soda – bicarbonate of soda
- Essential Oils (optional) 20 drops/recipe – Doterra Tea Tree, Lemon, Purify, or OnGaurd. But really you can use the oils you like.
- Microfiber Cloths – I prefer E-Cloths but any microfiber cloth will work. You can use these microfiber cloths for all your cleaning
