What Is The Proper Order Of Skincare Routine

Step 1: Based On Your Skin Type

Know your skin type so you can start the proper routine.  You'll know how to care for your skin when you know your skin type:

  • Dry skin is flaky, scaly, or rough; oily skin is shiny, greasy, and may have big pores.
  • Combination skin is dry in some spots like your cheeks and oily in other areas forehead, nose, and chin; also known as the T-zone.
  • Sensitive skin may sting, burn, be flakey, red, or itch after using makeup or other products.
  • Normal skin is balanced, clear, and not sensitive.
  • Aging skin is wrinkles, age spots, and dryness.

Proper Skincare Routine Order For All Skin Types

Step 2: To Cleaning Normal or Combo Skin

Following the correct order for your skincare routine is just one part of caring for your skin.  Never use regular body soap to wash your face because it is too harsh on your skin.  Also, you don't have to buy fancy, expensive products either.  Buy natural skincare that works for you.  Use your fingertips to apply your gentle cleanser or soap; never scrub your face.  Rinse your face with plenty of lukewarm water, then thoroughly pat dry.  Also, if your skin dries, gets oily, breaks out, or experience irritation, try a different cleanser.

Step 2: Cleaning Dry Skin

For dry skin, avoid cleansers with alcohol or fragrances.  These ingredients are harsh and can dry your skin.  What you will need is a proper skincare routine and order gentle cleanser. Gently wash your skin, then rinse with plenty of warm water.  Avoid hot water because it removes beneficial and natural oils from your face.  Furthermore, try using a gentle exfoliator once a week to get rid of flaky skin cells and for clearer-looking skin.  Additionally, if you are a DIYer with acne-prone skin, try making Cider Vinegar Green Tea Face Toner For Acne Prone Skin.

Step 2: Cleaning Oily Skin

For oily skin, use an oil-free foaming cleanser or similar to wash your face.  Always rinse your face with plenty of lukewarm.  To remove extra oil, use a mild toner; it will make your face less shiny.

Step 2: Cleaning Sensitive Skin

For sensitive skin, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and rinse with warm water.  Gently pat your skin dry; never rub your skin.  Use all-natural products that do not contain alcohol, soap, acid, or fragrance.  Instead, use a cleanser with calming ingredients like aloe, chamomile, green tea polyphenols, and oats.  For a happier face, use products that contain few ingredients.

How To Use Face Serums

Step: 3 You Apply Skin Serums

Ideally, when you follow the correct order of skin care, apply your face serum twice daily.  Therefore, it is the first product you should apply to your skin after cleansing and toning.  Plus, apply your sunscreen after your serum in the morning.  Your morning skincare routine order is slightly different because you must apply sunscreen after your serum.  Apply your moisturizer appropriately for your skin type over the serum before bed at night. Using the serum with your fingers is best to avoid wasting it.  Also, gently massage the serum onto your face.  Your morning skincare routine order is slightly different because you must apply sunscreen after your serum.

Serums to Try

Which serum should you choose and is best for your skin type?  Well, that depends on your individual skin goals.  There are several different types of serums; for example, serums formulated in a water base, for instance, tend to be well-suited for those of you with oily skin.  Additionally, serums with a more luxurious texture or formulated with oils should be used by those of you who tend to have drier skin.  Additionally, you can make your own facial serum if you are a DIYer.

Step 4: Apply Moisturizer

Regardless of whether you are young or have oily skin, all skin types need a daily moisturizer.  For best results, apply your moisturizer while your skin is still damp from washing or rinsing.  You will need a lightweight or oil-free moisturizer for acne or oily skin to prevent clogged pores.  Also, you can make your whipped mango butter that may help with acne and is suitable for all skin types.

Step 5: Apply Sunscreen

Apply sunscreen daily, even if your moisturizer already has sunscreen in it.  Sun damage can occur in only 15 minutes of exposure.  Use sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection with an SPF of at least 30.  Ideally, you should apply it daily.

How Often Should You Wash?

In the morning, start by rinsing your face with lukewarm water. You should use a soft towel and pat your face dry. Wash with a gentle cleanser or soap to remove dirt and makeup at night.

Don't Go To Bed With Makeup On Your Face

Going to bed with makeup on can clog your pores and cause acne. Therefore, wash it off with a gentle cleanser or a natural makeup remover. You should use a soft washcloth or cotton pads to remove your makeup. If you use anything for acne, now is the time to apply it when your face is clean, and you are going to bed.

Sunless Natural Tanners

Rather than tan in the sun, which causes skin damage, you can try using fake tan. A safer option is to try an organic sunless self-tanner. Skin tanners come in many forms, including lotions, sprays, and towelettes.

The takeaway, the proper order of skincare routine does matter.  Also, you should use non toxic and chemical free products.  Non Natural skin care products can cause allergens, dryness, and redness, among other skin discomfort.  Moreover, use lukewarm water instead of hot water when bathing or washing your face because it is better for your skin.
