Best Automatic Bissell ReadyClean A3 Wet and Dry Mop

Bissell Robot Mop Review:  I always make sure to vacuum and mop my floors regularly to keep my home clean and fresh.  It's important to me to have a clean living space, especially since I have pets.  Vacuuming first and then mopping gives the best results.  It's great to have a clean and shiny floor to walk on!  Vacuuming and mopping take a lot of manual effort.  Unless you own an automatic robot mop, the best robot mops should have room mapping capabilities that will do most of the more laborious work.  Unless my vacuum is not working, I've noticed there is the best time of the year to buy one at a reasonable price.

It is no secret I have four dogs; three of them are large working breed dogs and a small senior rat terrier mix.  Keeping a clean house free of dog hair and odor is tricky and time-consuming.  Therefore, I'm always trying to figure out ways to make my life easier, maintaining a clean, sustainable, and eco-friendly home.  Plus, I also love a good bargain.

Which Robot Mop Is Best?

A smart robot mop can tackle routine cleaning with just a push of a button or a tap on your smartphone. Simplicity and automation are the primary advantages of using a robot mop vs. a traditional mop. It is as simple as turning the robot on, taking a seat, and doing something else while it cleans the floor.

Many are compact enough but can adjust to different floor surfaces and mop under furniture, saving you from crawling down on your hands and knees or finding other attachments. One of the main reasons I bought the robot mop is that you can use the dry mopping option to collect dust and messes and wash your floors with one device.

The Bissell ReadyClean A3 is the best robot mop. I tested and evaluated it on setup, effectiveness, noise level, features, maneuverability, and ease of use.

Who it's for: Individuals with different hard floors like tile, hardwood floors, or vinyl are looking for an automatic robot mop.

Who it isn't for: Individuals who want a robot mop with a vacuum function.

For those who do not need another vacuum but have pets or kids and want cleaner floors with minimal effort, the Bissell ReadyClean A3 will help mop floors more easily and frequently.  I use it on hardwood floors and tile, and it is incredibly meticulous as it goes back and forth in a horizontal line, covering every area of the floors.  It leaves them looking clean and shiny.  If the robot mop encounters a spot with dirt or grime, it will go over it back and forth several times.  It does well picking up dust and debris, but larger items will get moved around since it doesn't have a vacuum feature.   The robotic mop mops and sweeps hard floors and features 360-degree LiDar Technology.  Mop pads capture dust and dirt off your floors.  The Bissel's mop pad lifts up and out of the way, allowing travel across floor thresholds and soft surfaces. Automatic Mop: Wet Mopping or Dry Sweeping

It was a pleasant surprise that it is quiet and intuitive, detecting obstacles such as rugs and cords, and it will change its route after bumping into any items. The D-shape design allows the mop to reach hard-to-reach spaces and easily navigate under furniture without getting stuck. The only issue I have encountered is the mop needs help getting over ledges between rooms that are higher than about an inch. However, it keeps trying and sometimes will finally get over it.

The robot mop comes with interchangeable disposable and reusable pads and can be used for both wet and dry mopping. We programmed the mop and used the reusable and disposable pads, which several got replaced during the initial mapping of the house. It is impressive that when the mop detects the pad is very dirty, it returns to the docking station and automatically swaps it out for a new one.  The more eco friendly option is the reusable mop pads.

When the robot returns to the docking station to replace its pad, the mop head lifts so it doesn't drag the dirty mop pad across the freshly mopped floor. The docking station stores up to 10 pads at a time. Since there were no washing instructions for the reusable pads, we hand-washed them and realized they could likely be washed on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.

Setting up the robot mop was relatively easy, although it did take about 45 minutes. You have to fill the water tank, add a cap full of the cleaning solution, attach the cleaning pads, and then charge it on its dock for approximately four hours. After downloading the app, you can connect it to the robot via Wi-Fi, schedule cleanings, select water levels, and maintain your mop and maps.

Final Verdict: Bissell ReadyClean A3 Robot Mop

I recently purchased the Bissell A3 Smart Mop, and it's been a game-changer in keeping my floors clean. The smart features make it easy to use, and the mop head effectively picks up dirt and grime. Plus, it's lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture. Overall, it Is highly effective at both dry and wet mopping. It has all the features to incorporate a robot mop into your regular cleaning routine, such as a self-pad replacing function, Wi-Fi, and smart home device compatibility.

I'm thrilled with my purchase and recommend the Bissell A3 Smart Mop to anyone looking for a reliable and effective cleaning tool.

Vacumming Features

Whether you have a robot, handheld, or upright vacuum, you want your vacuum to have sufficient suction and filters to capture small and slightly bigger particles. Some robot vacuums with carpet sensors will automatically adjust their suction depending on the surface they're on. Be sure to pick a robot that operates on the type of surfaces you have in your home, mostly carpet or hard floors.

Self Empting

A self-emptying feature will be essential if you intend to use a robot vacuum and mop regularly. Since dustbins with robot vacuums are much smaller than your average vacuum cleaner, they will need emptying much more—possibly even mid-cleaning if you do your entire home. With the self-emptying feature, the robot will deposit its contents into the dock, which will save you several trips to the garbage can. Robot mops, such as the Bissell ReadyClean A3 Robot Mop, automatically swap out the cleaning pads when they get overly dirty.

Object Avoidance

Avoiding objects on your floor is essential in a robot mop, specifically if you intend to use the scheduled cleanings when you're not in a different room or not at home. Many automatic robot vacuums and mops come equipped with sensors to detect objects and navigates around them, or you can create boundaries with the cleaning maps in the robot's app, which you install on your cell phone. However, while most robot mops can avoid smaller obstructions, many can't avoid hitting walls or larger objects. With that said, once they hit an item, they readjust—you may hear some wall-hitting noises.

Wifi - Smart Home Connectivity

One of the advantages of a Bissell robot mop is cleaning is easier to schedule regularly, typically accomplished by connecting through an app on your cell phone via Wi-Fi. Using the app allows you to modify the map of your home, customize cleaning spaces, schedule cleaning, see cleaning status, and control the mop itself, all remotely from your phone.  Smart home connectivity lets you connect your robot vacuum to smart devices on your home network or use voice assistants like Alexa or Google to manage the device. While most robot mops have an app, not all have smart home connectivity.

More Automatic Robot Mops to Consider

Neabot Q11 Robot Vacuum and Mop: While the vacuuming and room mapping features on the neatbot Q11 are amazing, the mopping reservoir is on the smaller side, so it is suitable for individuals who require less mopping.

Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid Robot Vacuum and Mop: This robot vacuum and mop is perfect for in-between cleanings and touch-ups but won't replace a regular vacuum for a deeper cleaning. The mopping function is okay, and you can only use plain water or approved cleaners.

Common Questions and Answers:

Can a robot mop Completely Replace a Regular Mop?

You will likely need a traditional mop for deep cleaning, so a robot mop cannot replace it even with all their bells and whistles. Also, a robot can't tell if a stain needs extra scrubbing or get to some of the hard-to-reach corners of your rooms. Robot mops are geared towards regular maintenance. You'll still need the traditional version on hand for deep cleaning.

Can Robot Mops Damage Hardwood Floors?

Most robot mops come with multiple settings for various floor surfaces or options to choose from other water levels. To ensure you don't damage your hardwood floors, ensure the option you need has a hardwood setting, which will minimize the amount of moisture it applies while cleaning.

How Much Should You Expect to Pay for a Robot Mop?

Some Robot mops cost several hundred dollars, with others costing over $1,000, depending on its features. The best budget pick is the Yeedi Vac Station Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop, which costs $500, while our most pricey choice is the Narwal Freo Versatile Self Mop Clean Robot, which retails for over $1,000.

Like a robot vacuum, robot mops are a considerable investment, yet having a programmable cleaning device can help save you time. If you want to save money and already have a robot vacuum, consider buying a device solely a robot mop and not a vacuum-mop combo, such as the Bissell ReadyClean A3 Robot Mop.
