The Best Sauteed Green Beans Recipe

I have always thought cooking sauteed green beans was hard.  Plus, I had never found a good recipe on how to saute fresh green beans.  For some reason, I always seem to overcook my green beans.  Furthermore, they get soggy and not so good.  Until recently, I wouldn't buy fresh green beans until now,  Preparing fresh green beans in a skillet is so easy and they taste so good.

Furthermore, it wasn't until I received my delivery from Imperfect Foods and there they were fresh green beans.  It is a subscription service but you can skip shipments anytime.  Imperfect Foods offers more than just fresh organic and non organic produce and other groceries.  Since we are on a zer0 waste journey and eating healthier I gave cooking them a chance.  The service is super convenient.  I'm so glad I gave this recipe a chance 

We now eat sauteed green beans all the time.  Although, we only make fresh sauteed string beans because they end up outstanding.  My husband said the sauteed green beans were restaurant quality.  We had these green beans, cauliflower mash with some pork chops.  Yum!

Sauteed Green Beans And Garlic

Ingredients     Yields 6 Servings

  • 2 tablespoons and 3/4 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1-1/4 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1:  Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat;  place your green beans in skillet then cook and stir, add onion salt, garlic salt, garlic powder, and black pepper together until desired tenderness is reached 5 to 10 minutes.
