DIY whipped mango body mousse is a good face and body moisturizer, perfect for dry skin and skin spots.  Also, we recommend you apply it before bed as a face serumThe aroma of flowers will help you relax, and the rich mango butter makes your skin soft and smooth.  In addition, feel free to substitute the Apricot or essential oils.  Also, the order of your skin regimen matters so you get the most out of your products.

I discovered a super easy recipe for whipped mango body mousse that makes my skin feel amazing! You only need a few ingredients including a hand mixer.   If you want to use it, scoop a little and massage it into your skin. It's so moisturizing and smells fantastic!

Note: This recipe does not require a weight scale for measurements. It is done based on volume measurements only.

Instructions & Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of cut-up Mango ButterCut into small quarter-sized pieces of the butter and put them in a cup, don’t pack it in.
  • 1/2 cup of Apricot Oil
  • 1 tsp of Rosehip Oil
  • 20 drops of essential oils
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pink mica. Mica provides a pink hue, there is no benefit to the skin

For example, if you want a really flowery, spring scent add: 10 drops of lavender EO, 5 drops of Geranium EO, and 5 drops of Chamomile EO. I also recommend these oils: 5 drops of Lavender EO, 5 drops of  Copaiba EO,  10 drops of Ylang Ylang EO

How To Make It Fluffy:

  1. Put the cut up mango butter and the apricot oil in a bowl, smash the mix with a fork or other utensil, stir it up, then whip it with an electric mixer. The force of the mixer will help whip the mango butter and make it increase in volume into a nice, soft mousse.
  2. Half way through the whipping, add the essential oils, then whip a bit more until it has increased in volume a bit, around 5 minutes.
  3. Gently stir in the mica powder. Once blended, turn on the electric mixer to mix it up well.
  4. Your whipped mango body mousse is READY!!! Scoop it in your final container or put it in a zip lock bag, cut a corner out of the end, then squeeze the mousse into your containers. It will last 6-9 months if stored in a cool place away from direct sun light.
Tip:  If it feels to greasy, add an 1/8 of a teaspoon of Arrowroot powder.
